Week 6 - Article 2: How to Win an Argument

This article talks about how to win a debate.  It uses examples from Mitt Romney and Barack Obama's presidential debates.

  3. This video is interesting because it shows some important steps that people need to follow when they want to win an argument. For example, for me one of the most important steps is be a good listener.

  4. In this article there are important advices:
    First is to know your audience or who the judge is.
    Second, find a "universal principle" that everyone can agree to.
    Third,the best debaters are the best listeners.
    Fourth, be very careful in argumentation.
    Fifth,terms to avoid.For example people tend to get in trouble is they try to use phrases like 'always' and 'never.
    Sixth everybody persuades themselves, and the best message.
